Façade Access Building Maintenance Unit

System Inc  Performed design- build and construction services for the replacement of an existing self- powered building maintenance unit serving exterior building façade serving a 560 foot hi rise building with atypical envelope.   

Scope of work

  • Structural modeling of interior under roof structure to support new loads and seismic conditions
  • Structural analysis of existing track to support new Tractel 40’ rooftop access system
  • Structural track refurbishment and modifications to over 2,000 feet of dual rail track and switchgear
  • Track support structure restoration and waterproofing
  • Custom designed gantry rigging assembly for BMU sectional delivery and assembly through building envelope and from lower mechanical well.
  • Provide, install and test 40’ BMU equipment and OPDS operational plan development
