Naval Base Wide Energy Conservation

Results:  Energy conservation and mechanical upgrades to multiple facilities. Work was performed safely on schedule

Performed extensive HVAC upgrades and base wide energy conservation revisions to buildings over the course of a year long project. Work was performed with  Puget Sound Energy and Engineering Economics Inc. (EEI)

Scope Summary

Provide new DDC controls  to multiple HVAC system and pumps

Evaluate the heating water circulation pumps for variable volume pumping modification.

Replace existing steam boiler with a hydronic condensing boiler

HVAC revisions to multiple systems including

  • VFD drive installations
  • Exhaust fans
  • Heat recovery equipment
  • Pumps
  • Air handling units (AHU)
  • Make up air equipment (MUA)
  • Ventilation systems
  • Hot water systems
  • Replace all existing DDC controllers with new DDC controllers and program.
  • Utilize all existing sensors, actuators, and control devices. Provide new JACE
  • 8000, connect to Industrial Controls System (ICS), bring in points and controllers,
  • graphics, and commission.
